I went to Taipei office this morning to participate BioCamp pre-workshop. During the workshop, NCCU Prof. Hsiao conducted a wonderful section on "How to Make a Business Plan", Novartis Taiwan Country President, Markus Rohrwild, presented his views on Global Pharmaceutical Industry. 2010 BioCamp Alumni, Hans Harnhnv, shared his experience to attend global BioCamp in Basel last year.
To go global, it is important to know local. So I also introduced books and teas about Taiwan.

The earliest record of tea trees found in Taiwan can be tracked back
to 1717 in Sui Sha Lien (水沙連),In the late 18 century, tea trees from Fuchien, brought into Taiwan. In 1867, English tea trader John Dodd started a tea company in Wanhua Japanese brought Assam black tea from India to grow in Taiwan. From 1970s, tea is no longer the major exporting goods from Taiwan. In stead, tea has become a style of art enjoyed by Taiwanese people
"Dongding oolong"(凍頂烏龍茶), "Alishan Oolong"(阿里山烏龍茶), "Wenshan Pouchong"(文山包種茶),"Oriental Beauty"(東方美人茶), "Shanlinxi Oolong"(杉林溪茶),
Even though tea originally came to Taiwan from China, the special production process and the cultural rituals that surround it are uniquely Taiwanese. You will not be able to find this tea anywhere except Taiwan. Some people compare these rituals to wine tasting
in Europe. Instead of wineries, we have tea houses in the mountains.
